Heavy RAW squats with 635 and paused safety bar squats

I am training for USPA Nationals open raw and masters 275 class where I am sponsored by Maximum Human Performance. I intend on smashing the national squat record with an over 800 squat without knee wraps!

I was breaking in a pair of weightlifting shoes that I just received. I haven’t worn a heal since tearing my knee 8 months ago. I have been tentative in my lifting where my knee is concerned when I realized I was squatting wider for some reason. I found my sweet spot and speed sets with 535 were FAST!

Pause safety bar squats were easy. I don’t go parallel on this movement to protect my hips although I am sure I could with the same outcome.

I am consulting with Josh Bryant who everyone knows is a total stud…and an even great person. His lifting speaks for itself. Approaching age 40 in just a few days, I feel like I may be scratching the surface with my lifting.
